June

I cannot believe it's already the last few days of June.  I really have no idea where the last month or so went, although I suppose just being super busy makes the weeks fly by.  The end of June also means the semester is just about over, lectures are finished, papers have all been turned in, presentations have all been given, all that stands between me and a completed third semester is one last exam tomorrow morning.  Thankfully after all the rain and flooding we had during May and early June, the sun finally did find us again, as did a string of days of really hot, gross weather.  June is a beautiful month in Vienna, the perfect time to enjoy the shade of big trees during the day, and being outside during the wonderfully warm summer evenings.

I wouldn't really even know where to begin to write about all that's happened this month, so I think pictures should do just fine.  As my brain slows down a bit from school I will hopefully have time to do some more reading and writing for fun, rather than just for grades.

June means Heurigen dinners are perfectly acceptable...and preferred.

Wiener Weinpreis...all the prized wines from Vienna were set up in the courtyard of the Rathaus for tasting, along with gourmet food.

It's hard to believe it's already time to say goodbye to friends for the summer as we all scatter around the world to do various things.  I'm excited to stay in Europe this summer, I am currently finalizing my plans to be in Geneva, Switzerland for about 2 months, so hopefully I will be doing some fun blogging from there as well!
