Chocolate Museum

This week I'm off for Easter Break, and while I do have some work to do, I'm also trying to get out some especially while the weather is nice and see what I can around Vienna.  A group from church had suggested going to the Chocolate Museum (which is part of Heindl Chocolates) so this morning we went out there for a tour.

We learned all about how chocolate is processed, from the raw beans to the liquid chocolate form...and then also how Heindl uses chocolate to make all of their special types of goodies.

and we got to taste some fresh chocolate from the spouts of these fountains.

we then went upstairs to see where their chocolates are made...it is amazing how many different types of chocolates they make in such a relatively small space, and so much of the process is still done by hand

It was a really fun morning, and not something any of us normally do, although I almost wish I liked chocolate more...I'm not really one to get super excited about chocolate, although I did get a little Easter egg with raspberry filling that tasted really good...fruit and chocolate I can definitely do!
