Today is a public holiday in Austria (labor day) so we were all off from school and work, so some friends and I took the train to Bratislava this morning to enjoy the weather from Slovakia. The high today was about 30 degrees celsius, although one clock in Bratislava said 33...anyway...it was quite warm, but very dry, so we were more than happy walking around!
Liz, Kirsty, and Ruth on the train
Liz and Henri trying to figure out exactly where we should go
Henri is the only one of us tall enough to wear the hat...
The Danube
A Viking ship going by!
(this is the company we all went on a cruise with a few summers ago)
mmmm...outdoor lunch by the danube
After lunch Kirsty and I headed back to Vienna since we both had some work to do, but I will definitely go back over there sometime when I have more time to wander around. It's such an easy (and inexpensive) trip from Vienna...just about an hour by train!
