The City and The Mountain!

I have successfully moved to a beautiful city...while still going to school on a gorgeous mountain, with sweeping panoramic views of the entire city and other mountains.

This morning we took all my bags of things up to my apartment and dropped it off, unpacked the IKEA things that we had left there, and headed up to the Kahlenberg to see where my school is.  The bus up there winds past some quaint looking houses, shops and vineyards and then does some pretty serious switchbacks on cobblestone to get up to the top.
The church at the top of the Kahlenberg, just across from my school.

The weather today was perfect, even though it was a bit cooler than yesterday, the sun was bright and the sky was really blue.

The panoramic view from school.  The Danube to the left, the city and vineyards in the center, and mountains to the right.

Vineyards! with the city in the background

After winding our way back down the mountain and to my apartment (which only takes about 30 minutes) we came back into the center of town to wander around the Museums Quartier for a while before dinner.

We ate at this great Austrian restaurant for dinner and then wandered back through the Hofburg to the hotel afterwards.

I have an awesome video of a cellist at the Hofburg, but I can't get it to load tonight, so that'll have to wait.  Mom, Lexi and Granny head back home tomorrow morning, and i'll be in my apartment.  The place that sells internet cables and things is closed on the weekends, so i'll have to go by there hopefully on Monday and get what I need to have internet in my room.  I may get a chance to check email and things tomorrow in a cafe with wi-fi, but if not I'll hopefully be back sometime early next week!
