It took us about 2 hours to get everything we needed (and also what we could carry) and I feel pretty good that I might need one more trip out there, but I have enough to be set up for now.
Our trip back on the U-bahn, 4 bags...no problem.
After we dropped the bags off in my apartment, we hopped back onto the U-bahn and headed back towards town to Cafe Schwarzenberg (thanks Vera!) for a wonderful relaxed afternoon in a coffee house. We hadn't had lunch yet and it was about 3:30pm, so we ordered small cold plates of food followed by coffee and desserts.
Cup of smoked salmon with a sort of chopped potato salad type thing in the middle with gelatin and caviar on top. So yummy.
Schwarzenberg - Cappuchino. Also amazing.
After our relaxing re-charge, we stopped by H&M on Karlsplatz so Lexi could pick up a trench coat for her birthday that she had been eyeing. This was also about the time the forecasted cold front came in, so a coat seemed like a good idea. We then headed back to our hotel and dropped Granny off and bundled up before Lexi, Mom and I headed out to the Prater. Being the off-season, most rides were closed, adding to the creepiness factor, although we were definitely not the only ones there.
Creepy Fun House
Wiener Reisenrad! We did ride this.
And we had our own car

Looking out over Vienna.
We headed back to the hotel after that and are currently sipping local wine while eating fresh cheese and biscuits for dinner...yum yum yum.
