Some Recent Pictures

This morning/afternoon has been a busy day of running around.  I successfully got my bank card, so now I can access my Austrian bank account which is helpful...I also tried again to go get a real phone (preferably a smartphone because I'm spoiled) but I still can't get that until my official visa comes back...so we'll be waiting for that again...with the internet in my room at at school it isn't so bad though, it's amazing how used to having internet in my pocket I have gotten.  Without it being in a new city feels a little weird.  I can't look up stores or directions once I've left home...but I suppose we all functioned that way until fairly recently, so I'll live.

View of Votiv Kirche while I was waiting for the Strassenbahn the other night when I was in search of internet.  Not a shabby view for public transportation...

some photos from our walking tour as part of orientation

Stephansdom (St. Stephan's Cathedral)

The kitchen of Cafe Demel

Now i'm off to put all my class dates in my calendar and get some more reading done!  More orientation tomorrow starting early...and they're forecasting rain and snow tomorrow, so this could be interesting.

Snow and traveling up those switchbacks to school could be interesting.

I am enjoying Vienna vicariously through you. Wonderful, fun blog. Thanks, Allison.
